a reporter recently learned from the natural resources bureau of wengniute banner, chifeng city, inner mongolia that in a new round of strategic breakthroughs in mineral exploration, a large molybdenum deposit was discovered in wengniute banner, and the preliminary proven molybdenum resource ore volume was about 100 million tons.

this large molybdenum deposit is located in the qingshidongzi west mining area at the junction of xindi village, wudan town, wengniute banner, chifeng city, and qiaotou town and yewusu village. according to the staff of the wengniute banner natural resources bureau, chifeng gengjin mining co., ltd., which discovered the deposit, has been conducting systematic exploration since may 2023, completing surface geological mapping and geophysical exploration of 25.34 square kilometers, drilling 110,000 meters, and obtaining good prospecting results. a large molybdenum deposit was discovered, and the preliminary exploration of molybdenum resources was about 100 million tons of ore and 130,000 tons of metal. the molybdenum ore body is co-existing with a variety of metal minerals such as silver, gold, zinc, lead, and copper, with the advantages of high value and large reserves. the field exploration work is now in the final stage.
