the demo day & closing ceremony of the wide bandgap semiconductor special session of zhangjiang hi-tech 895 entrepreneurship camp (14th season) was successfully concluded today at shanghai integrated circuit design industrial park. at the event, 8 companies that stood out from the 25 outstanding projects in the camp participated in the demo day roadshow.
as the third-generation semiconductor, wide bandgap semiconductors are at the forefront of the global market size growth rate. according to casa's forecast, with the support of national policies and the growth of downstream demand, the overall market size of third-generation semiconductors is expected to exceed 90 billion yuan in 2027.
this season's entrepreneurship camp is themed "towards the future, empowering 'core' life", striving to discover new entrepreneurs in the wide bandgap semiconductor industry and help pudong new area build the most technologically advanced and competitive integrated circuit industry system in china. 25 companies were selected from all over the world to join the camp, covering various industrial links such as substrates, epitaxy, design, manufacturing, services, equipment, and modules. the 8 companies that participated in the demo day roadshow were selected from the best of the best. the founders have been deeply involved in the field of wide bandgap semiconductors for many years, with strong r&d teams. the companies are deeply involved in the wide bandgap semiconductor segment, with obvious product and technology innovations, and have formed a first-mover advantage.

at the event, eight companies presented their products in all aspects, including product background, r&d team, product technology advantages, market prospects, etc. after fierce competition, gahe semiconductor, lanxin semiconductor, tairui technology, and nano-vegas were awarded the title of "most promising enterprises", and jixin huawei, spectrum optical crystal, and boline narun were awarded the title of "most innovative enterprises".
he dajun, vice chairman and general manager of zhangjiang hi-tech park, presented the award to peifeng tunan, which won the title of "star of entrepreneurship". the winning company will also receive the right to use office properties or affordable rental housing under zhangjiang hi-tech park for different periods of time.
this year marks the 9th year of the 895 entrepreneurship camp, which has successfully held 14 seasons of project activities and achieved fruitful results in incubation. according to statistics, 409 companies have joined the camp, of which 20 have received investment from zhangjiang hi-tech park and 5 have been successfully listed.
