hunan daily·new hunan client, september 3 (reporter hu xueyi) as an olympic event and a part of the nine-year compulsory education curriculum, skateboarding has entered the sports life of children and teenagers. recently, the "run, teenagers" 2024 hunan children and teenagers skateboard invitational competition was held at the palman skateboard club in changsha beichen delta joy city.
the "run, youngsters" skateboard training camp and skateboard invitational attracted a total of 62 children aged 5-14. the competition was divided into two groups according to age: u14 and u10. there were two competition events: skateboard obstacle race and miniramp race.
despite the hot weather, the children still maintained their high spirits and passion for sports at the competition site, becoming more and more courageous as they fought. during the competition, accompanied by the sound of skateboards hitting the ground, the contestants adjusted their postures for each slide, jump, and flip, showing their strength and skills, faith and perseverance, and won cheers and applause from the audience. in the end, more than 20 people won awards in the second group of events.
the person in charge of the event said that children's skateboarding is a sport that releases children's unlimited energy. "what we teach children is not only skateboarding skills, but also the indomitable spirit in the face of difficulties." it is understood that those who perform particularly well in this competition will have the opportunity to be selected to prepare for the skateboarding event of the 15th national games in 2025.
