on september 3, the beijing artificial intelligence security and governance laboratory, a new research and development institution for the security development and governance of artificial intelligence, was established in the beijing west intelligence valley of the mentougou park of zhongguancun science park. the laboratory is committed to building a systematic security and governance system to provide solid security guarantees for the innovation and application of artificial intelligence and lead the new trend of artificial intelligence security and governance.
"this laboratory is a new exploration to connect cutting-edge research on ai security and governance with industry self-discipline and government guidance and supervision," said zeng yi, director of the laboratory.my country should not only gradually improve the policy system related to ai security and governance,it is also necessary to plan the establishment of research institutions, evaluation and empowerment centers at all levels for ai security and governance to promote cutting-edge research and practice, and on this basis, improve the construction of the ai security cooperation network to connect the chinese ai security and governance system jointly built by government, industry and research.
the laboratory and co-construction units have launched the "artificial intelligence security and governance public service platform", which can provide services in artificial intelligence ethics and safety policies, security risk monitoring, and ethical safety assessment. recently, the laboratory has also worked with co-construction units and cooperative institutions to create an artificial intelligence ethics and safety assessment system and build a basic model for secure artificial intelligence.
