it is understood that in may this year, china space-time information group, which is controlled by china star network and co-invested by china north industries group corporation and china mobile, was formally established. china space-time undertakes the important mission of building a national space-time information operation service platform, constructing a national space-time operation service system, and promoting the large-scale application of beidou.

as the first layout after the establishment of china space-time, the establishment of china space-time's first holding subsidiary in chongqing is of great significance, marking that the construction and operation of the national space-time big data center-chongqing hub has officially entered the fast lane of development. this cooperation may lead the construction and development of space-time big data in provinces and cities across the country, and become an important booster and accelerator for the large-scale application of beidou.

at the meeting, china space time released two achievements: the beidou large-scale application operating system and the public beidou 1-meter precise positioning service based on the operating system. this marked the beginning of chongqing's beidou large-scale application pilot action and achieved significant phased progress.

according to wang yanjun, senior deputy chief designer of china star network group, the beidou large-scale application operating system consists of 1 resource base + 3 service engines + 1 intelligent interaction center. as a hub for the gathering, management and dispatching of space-time information resources and an industrial innovation platform, the operating system aims to mobilize the resources of the entire space-time industry chain, such as communications, navigation, and remote sensing, to promote industrial technology innovation, organizational model innovation, and application scenario innovation, build a good industrial ecology, lower application thresholds and costs, reduce duplication of construction and investment, give birth to new fields and new markets, cultivate leading enterprises of "specialization, precision, and innovation", and effectively promote the marketization, industrialization, and internationalization of beidou applications.

beidou's 1-meter precise positioning service is universal, open, and public-welfare. it can effectively solve the pain points of people's daily travel, such as frequent drifting of positioning when taking a taxi, difficulty in quickly determining the direction when walking, difficulty in automatically identifying main and auxiliary roads, and untimely reminders of highway exits, without adding additional equipment and costs. the positioning service is planned to be launched in chongqing before the end of this year and promoted nationwide in 2025.
