boccia is a unique event of the paralympic games. it was originally designed for patients with cerebral palsy. now, any athlete with a neurological disability that affects their autonomous motor function can participate. the event is divided into four levels: bc1, bc2, bc3, and bc4 according to the degree of disability. bc1 and bc2 belong to athletes with cerebral palsy, while bc3 and bc4 are athletes with severe physical dysfunction or limb loss.
