secondly, energy consumption is accelerating towards clean and low-carbonization. the energy consumption structure continues to be optimized. over the past decade, the proportion of coal consumption has dropped by 12.1 percentage points, non-fossil energy consumption has more than doubled, and the level of electrification has increased by about 7 percentage points. in 2023, china's wind and solar power generation will exceed the electricity consumption of urban and rural residents, and 1 out of every 3 kwh of electricity consumed in the whole society will be green electricity. the quality of oil products has achieved a "three-year upgrade" from the national iii to the national vi standard, and the population using natural gas has increased by 300 million to 560 million; nuclear heating and nuclear steam supply have been successfully piloted.

finally, the concept of green energy use is accelerating. china actively advocates the concept of green and low-carbon life, vigorously promotes the fine tradition of the chinese nation of diligence and thrift, and promotes the transformation of lifestyles and consumption patterns to simple, moderate, green, low-carbon, civilized and healthy ones. we will carry out green life creation actions in depth, organize and carry out theme publicity activities such as the national ecological day, increase the promotion of green and low-carbon products, and encourage the public to give priority to green travel modes such as public transportation, bicycles and walking.

li chuangjun said that since the beginning of this year, the "opinions of the cpc central committee and the state council on accelerating the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development" and the "2024-2025 energy conservation and carbon reduction action plan" have been issued and implemented. these documents have made comprehensive arrangements for the green transformation and development of key areas from the aspects of industrial layout, spatial pattern, scientific and technological innovation, and policy support. in the next step, the national energy administration will implement various measures, actively expand green consumption, and accelerate the formation of green and low-carbon production and lifestyles.
