The Vietnamese government awarded Ambassador Xiong Bo the Friendship Medal

On August 27, Bui Thanh Son, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Vietnamese Government, awarded Ambassador Xiong Bo the Friendship Medal. Ngo Le Van, Deputy Minister of External Relations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Nguyen Manh Tien, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly, Nguyen Minh Nga, Executive Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Minister Pham Thanh Binh, and heads of the Office of the President, the Office of the Government, the Ministry of National Defense, the China Friendship Association, and the Vietnam-China Friendship Association attended the event.
Bui Thanh Son spoke highly of the fruitful results achieved in the development of relations between the two parties and the two countries in recent years. He said that awarding the Friendship Medal to Ambassador Xiong Bo reflects the great attention that the Vietnamese Party and Government attach to the special friendly relations between Vietnam and China and the high recognition of Ambassador Xiong Bo's positive contributions. Vietnam is willing to continue to consolidate political mutual trust with China, deepen practical cooperation in various fields, and promote the building of a strategically significant Vietnam-China community with a shared future.
Xiong Bo said that the awarding of the Friendship Medal by the Vietnamese side fully demonstrates that the Vietnamese Party and government attach great importance to China-Vietnam relations and their friendly feelings towards the Chinese people. The two sides should adhere to the strategic guidance of the top leaders of the two parties, continuously consolidate and deepen political mutual trust, never forget the original intention of friendship, bear in mind the common mission, and push forward the construction of the strategically significant China-Vietnam community with a shared future in depth and in a practical manner, and make new and greater contributions to the cause of peace and progress of mankind.
The Vietnam Friendship Medal is approved and signed by the President of the State, and is intended to commend foreigners or foreign groups who have made important contributions to the development of friendly relations between Vietnam and other countries in the world.
