On August 26, the 4th Park City Forum with the theme of "Park City - Promoting the Innovative Practice of Urban Modernization along the Belt and Road" was held at the Tianfu International Conference Center in Tianfu New District, Sichuan. At the sub-forum on "Construction of New Urban Districts with Sustainable Development Innovation Demonstration", a launching ceremony for the cooperation between the Park City Index Research Center and UN-HABITAT was held.
Shipra Narang Suri, Director of the Urban Practice of UN-HABITAT's Global Solutions Division, signed the agreement online, and UN-HABITAT representative Herman Jean Pienaar brought the agreement to the forum across the ocean.

Shipra said in the video: “As a major promoter of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially the urban-related Sustainable Development Goal (SDG11), UN-Habitat warmly welcomes partnerships and collaborations that help advance these global goals, especially in the context of climate change, welcomes many innovative approaches including the park city concept, and looks forward to fruitful future cooperation.”
At the cooperation launching ceremony, representatives of the co-construction parties of the Park City Index Research Center: Chen Hongtao, member of the Party Working Committee and deputy director of the Management Committee of Sichuan Tianfu New Area, Qu Changhong, deputy secretary-general of the China Urban Planning Society, Zeng Jiuli, secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of Chengdu Design Consulting Group, and Herman Jean Pienaar, senior project management officer of UN-Habitat, pressed the button together to start the cooperation chapter. At the main forum of this Park City Forum, the results of the China Park City Index 2023 were released. The start of cooperation with UN-Habitat at this milestone moment marks that the Park City Index has officially entered a new stage of international advocacy.
During the third Park City Forum held in April 2023, Sichuan Tianfu New Area, China Urban Planning Society and Chengdu Design Consulting Group officially signed an agreement to jointly build the Park City Index Research Center. In June of the same year, at the second United Nations Habitat Assembly, the Park City Index Research Center signed a letter of intent for cooperation with the United Nations Human Settlements Programme and jointly held a seminar on "Park City Index Research and Urban Assessment", reaching in-depth international cooperation. This cooperation with the United Nations Human Settlements Programme is also an important achievement of the tripartite co-construction.
