Recently, Jinyudongjun Community in Yinghai Town, Daxing District, Beijing successfully held a unique and meaningful "sort kitchen waste properly, green summer" theme event. The protagonists of this event are a group of lively and lovely children in the community, who have contributed their own strength to the cause of environmental protection with their enthusiasm and practical actions.
At the event, the laughter of the children echoed in every corner. In order to let the children understand the importance of kitchen waste classification more deeply, the community workers carefully planned a series of interesting games. Among them, the "Throwing Smart Stars" game allows children to put different types of "garbage" (models or cards) into the corresponding "garbage cans" (pitching pots) to teach garbage classification knowledge in a game way; and the "Green Guardian" session, by letting the children put "sandbags" representing different types of garbage into the corresponding color areas and answer questions related to garbage classification, not only increase their knowledge, but also cultivate environmental awareness.
The most exciting part for the children is the game check-in and prize redemption session. Every time they successfully complete a game challenge, the children can get a stamp on their activity card. When the number of stamps accumulates to a certain level, they can exchange for the prizes they want. These prizes are not expensive toys, but environmentally friendly garbage bags, garbage classification knowledge Frisbees and other items with environmental protection themes, which are intended to encourage children to continue to practice environmental protection concepts in their daily lives.
During the activity, the children were fully engaged and took every game seriously. Their small figures were busy and determined, and their eyes were full of enthusiasm and focus on environmental protection actions. This activity not only allowed the children to enjoy the game, but more importantly, they learned how to correctly classify kitchen waste and understood that protecting the environment needs to start with small things around them.
