From August 23rd to 25th, the 2024 China Robot Competition and RoboCup Robot World Cup China Special Competition will be held at Luoyang Institute of Technology.
The competition is hosted by the Chinese Automation Society, and co-organized by the Robot Competition and Training Department of the Chinese Automation Society, the Robot Competition Working Committee of the Chinese Automation Society, and Luoyang Institute of Technology.
According to reports, this year's competition has received widespread attention and participation from universities across the country, attracting 811 teams from 182 universities including Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Beihang University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Sichuan University, etc., with a total of 6,323 contestants registered to participate. The contestants will compete in nine major events of the competition.
At the opening ceremony of the competition held on the morning of August 24, Wang Xinwu, vice president of Luoyang Institute of Technology, said that the China Robot Competition has effectively promoted the exchange of China's intelligent manufacturing technology and high-end talents, and promoted the development of related disciplines such as automation, robotics engineering, and artificial intelligence.

Let us work together to make greater contributions to scientific and technological innovation and talent cultivation in China's robotics field." said Professor Li Shaoyuan, Vice President of the Chinese Automation Society and Deputy Director of the Higher Education Automation Professional Teaching Committee of the Ministry of Education.
The Engineering Training Center of Luoyang Institute of Technology is responsible for organizing the competition. Relying on student associations, the Engineering Training Center uses the robot competition as a starting point to carry out innovative education. The Engineering Training Center insists on innovative education and teaching reform, breaking the traditional education model of "theory first, then practice, foundation first, then major", and constructing a new innovative education model of "practice-theory-practice again" and "major-foundation-major again".
It is understood that the China Robot Competition and RoboCup Robot World Cup China Competition is one of the most influential, highest comprehensive technical level and oldest robotics competitions in China. It is the most influential and authoritative robotics technology competition, academic conference and science popularization event in my country. It is a major exchange event for China's intelligent manufacturing technology and high-end talents. The competition system is held once a year and has been successfully held for 25 sessions so far.
