Samsung's LPDDR4X automotive memory passes Qualcomm automotive module verification

Samsung Electronics announced today that its LPDDR4X automotive memory for advanced in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) has been validated on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon® Digital Chassis™ platform. This not only demonstrates the superior performance of Samsung’s LPDDR4X automotive memory, but also reflects Samsung’s deep technical expertise in automotive applications and its solid commitment to long-term support for customers.

Samsung Car Memory LPDDR4X

Samsung is developing the next-generation LPDDR5 automotive grade chip, and expects to provide samples in the fourth quarter of this year. LPDDR5 will be able to support the highest data transfer speed that Samsung automotive memory can achieve, which is 9.6 gigabits per second (Gbps), and maintain excellent performance even under extreme temperature conditions.
