The following 8 decoration projects are all outdated. Don’t install them again, otherwise you will regret it before you move in.1. Colored latex paint

Latex paints were originally all white, but as time went on, people felt it was too monotonous, so colors like apricot gray, Ru kiln, space walk, milk coffee, and cocoa egg milk became popular in the past few years.

With the prevalence of minimalism, people finally realized that minimalism is extremely beautiful, and any color will become outdated. Only white is a timeless classic, and white is also a versatile color that can be easily matched with soft furnishings. Therefore, the above Internet celebrities are outdated.

Moreover, colored latex paint cannot be used for suspended ceilings, which can only be painted white, so it is necessary to add color matching fees, secondary protection fees, etc., which is totally unnecessary.

To add a warm feeling, you can use warm white, such as diamond white and pearl white. However, if you want to never go out of style, pure white is still the first choice.

2. Linear lights

The application of light strips in home decoration should be mainly hidden, and it is advanced to see the light but not the lamp. Exposed linear lights lose the sense of mystery, and look ugly and abrupt when the lights are not turned on, especially the circle of exposed linear lights on the side hangings, which should really not be made.

3. Through-the-top door

The "one door through the roof" was a typical example of successful marketing by a merchant two years ago, and it successfully made the owner spend a lot more money.

How much better a through-the-ceiling door looks than an ordinary door is a matter of personal opinion. An ordinary door is connected to the wall above and does not destroy the integrity of the wall, so how can its aesthetics be worse?

The floor-to-ceiling door is too slender, the proportions are not harmonious, and it also destroys the integrity of the wall, so the aesthetics are not improved much.

But a full-length door is really expensive. First of all, you need to drill a door hole. A full-length door is also much more expensive than an ordinary door. The door is too easy to deform, has a short service life, and the sound insulation of the bedroom is also poor.

If there is a load-bearing beam above the door opening and it cannot be removed, you can only make a false ceiling and add hanging panels above the door. It looks weird and how can it compare to the simple and beautiful wall?

A family of 4 or 5 doors, spend 4 or 5 thousand more, the decoration should be practical, don't always be high-profile, after all, making money is not easy, and any high-profile decoration will not stand the test of time and will become outdated. Only classics can be passed down forever.

In the second half of the year, the economic situation became increasingly severe, and most families have returned to rationality. Through-the-ceiling doors are no longer popular.

4. Small size tiles

The bigger the tiles are, the better looking they are. With the upgrading of decoration, small-sized tiles are gradually being eliminated, especially mosaic tiles. Not only are the materials and labor costs expensive, but there are also many gaps, and the cost of beautifying the gaps is increased several times. The key is that they are ugly and too trivial.

The 300×300 floor tiles and 300×600 wall tiles in the bathroom are too small and have been eliminated. Now the smallest floor tiles and wall tiles are 400×800.

The area of the bathroom is not large. More and more families use 600×1200 full-ceramic tiles for the walls and floors. The seams between the walls and the floor are connected, which is very beautiful. There are two bricks on the wall to the top.

When it comes to floor tiles on the walls of kitchens, balconies, etc., the larger they are, the better looking they are. Don't be foolish and cut large tiles into small ones.

5. TV background wall

The complicated TV background wall will inevitably be abandoned by the times and become outdated sooner or later, so the background wall is becoming simpler and simpler. Hanging a TV on the white wall without a background wall will naturally not be outdated. A set of cabinets can be customized on the side to embellish it, increase storage, and practical decoration will not be outdated.

If you don't watch TV often, you can spend a few thousand yuan to install a projector and a 120-inch picture frame screen on the TV wall. It is practical, beautiful, and cheap.

6. Dark tiles

Dark tiles appear deep and solemn, look more advanced, and are favored by many people.

But dark tiles are too dark, making the house look gloomy during the day. Who doesn’t like bright and clear? So I advise you not to try dark tiles easily, you will regret it 100%. When it is cloudy during the day, you must turn on the lights.

7. 900×900 tiles

Tiles of this specification are differentiated competitive products launched by the manufacturer. They are much more expensive than 800×800 tiles, and the labor cost is also high, but the laying effect is almost the same as 800×800 tiles, and the difference cannot be told at all. Therefore, 900×900 tiles are just a waste of money, and anyone who buys them will be wronged. They have now been basically eliminated.

Similarly, 600×1200 tiles are much more expensive than 800×800 tiles, and the effect of using them in the living room is not as good as that of 800×800 tiles.

8. Suspended TV cabinet

The suspended TV cabinet is indeed more beautiful, but wall cracking is its fate and there is no way to avoid it, no matter whether it is a load-bearing wall or not, and no matter what method is used.

Therefore, we no longer make suspended TV cabinets. Instead, we make floor-standing TV cabinets without legs. They have no sanitary dead corners and are high-end and durable.

9. A wardrobe that reaches the ceiling

A wardrobe that reaches the floor to ceiling is very simple and can be better integrated with the wall. However, its disadvantages are also obvious: it is expensive, requires the installation of a straightener, and diagonal deformation is unavoidable.

Now we no longer make a door that goes all the way to the ceiling. We have begun to use a split handle-free design, which does not require straighteners, handles, or heightened cabinet doors. The cabinets are divided at the golden section point of about one-third of the height. The price has come down, and the appearance is no worse than a door that goes all the way to the ceiling:

I will continue to share my experience in decoration technology. Comments are welcome. It is not easy to create. Please give me a thumbs up~
