On August 25, the five-day 2024 World Robot Conference came to an end. According to the "News Broadcast" report on the same day, Li Qiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Premier of the State Council, came to the exhibition hall of the 2024 World Robot Expo and visited the robot booths of enterprises and institutions such as ABB, Kuka, Siasun, Yushu Technology, Beijing Shurui, CITIC Heavy Industries, and the National Agricultural Intelligent Equipment Engineering Technology Research Center, and communicated with the heads of relevant units, asking in detail about product performance, technical level, and especially application.
Yongjinjun noticed that there were many Zhejiang elements in the companies visited by the Prime Minister.
Siasun Robotics, a leading domestic industrial robot manufacturer headquartered in Shenyang, established its "Southern Headquarters" Hangzhou Siasun Robot Automation Co., Ltd. in Qiantang District, Hangzhou as early as 2010.
Yushu Technology is a Zhejiang-based company. As a frequent visitor to the World Robot Expo, Yushu Technology brought five robots this year, including both consumer robots and industrial robots. But the most noteworthy ones are the general humanoid robot H1, which is still being upgraded, and the new product G1, which debuted in China for the first time.

For example, the world's first Unitree G1 humanoid robot, which attracted much attention at the exhibition, is about 127 cm tall and weighs about 35 kg. According to Yushu, this humanoid robot, which starts at 99,000 yuan, has entered the mass production stage.
"I was very excited to see the Prime Minister, but also a little nervous," said Wang Xingxing, founder and CEO of Yushu Technology. In his impression, the Prime Minister is very concerned about the application of robots and has encouraged the company to develop more robots that can be integrated into people's production and life scenarios. He said excitedly: "At present, we have successfully deployed humanoid robots in the NIO car factory to carry out tasks such as handling, expanding its application scenarios."
In addition to Yushu, Yongjinjun also learned that the new humanoid robot product "Navigator 2 NAVIAI" from the Zhejiang Humanoid Robot Innovation Center also appeared at the 2024 World Robot Conference. It is understood that the Zhejiang Humanoid Robot Innovation Center is located in Ningbo, and its core personnel are from the Robotics Laboratory of Zhejiang University.
Where is the wind of industry blowing? The exhibition is the best window to observe. Behind this fun, lively and interesting robot conference is actually a new round of fierce competition in cutting-edge technology. As Premier Li Qiang emphasized during the investigation, robots embody the comprehensive integration of various modern technologies, integrating new technologies and new industries such as artificial intelligence, new materials, and bionics, and are an important symbol to measure the level of scientific and technological innovation and high-end manufacturing.
The most eye-catching thing at this year's conference was the humanoid robot. A total of 27 humanoid robots were exhibited at the conference, the most ever, and they can be said to be the absolute protagonist of the exhibition.

At present, humanoid robots are not only regarded as the representatives of the development of new productivity, but also the pioneers of future industries, and are expected to lead a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation. Last year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology officially issued the "Guiding Opinions on the Innovation and Development of Humanoid Robots", which clearly stated that by 2025, the humanoid robot innovation system will be initially established, and a number of key technologies such as "brain, cerebellum, and limbs" will achieve breakthroughs.
Zhejiang has long wished to develop the robotics industry.
As early as 2017, Zhejiang issued the "Zhejiang Province "Robot+" Action Plan", becoming the first province in the country to propose a "Robot+" policy.
Since then, Zhejiang has issued the "Zhejiang Province Action Plan for Building an Intelligent Robot Industry Highland (2020-2025)", proposing to "strive to become a national intelligent robot industry highland by 2025."
In fact, after years of accumulation, Zhejiang has already possessed certain industrial advantages in the robotics industry.
As Xiong Rong, head of the Zhejiang Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, introduced, Hangzhou has advantages in robot intelligent sensing and control technology research and complete system development, while Ningbo is one of the few cities in China that has a comprehensive layout of the "three major components" of reducers, controllers, and servo motors.
Some Zhejiang robot companies are gradually showing their strength as leading enterprises. According to Wang Qixin, the market director of Yushu Technology, Yushu Technology currently accounts for about 60%-70% of the global quadruped robot shipments and ranks first in the world in humanoid robot shipments.
At present, humanoid robots are on the rise, and Zhejiang, which has the first-mover advantage, has also keenly captured the spirit of the times. Yongjin Jun noticed that in late June this year, Liu Jie, deputy secretary of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and secretary of the Hangzhou Municipal Party Committee, conducted a special investigation on humanoid robot companies (platforms).
Prior to this, Hangzhou had been planning to issue implementation opinions to promote the high-quality development of the intelligent robot industry. According to the draft industrial policy for comments released in April this year, Hangzhou will provide policy and financial support for the construction of the "brain" and "cerebellum" of intelligent robots, and the key technology research and development of core components and complete machine manufacturing. It is hoped that by 2026, the industrial output value of the entire intelligent robot industry chain will exceed 50 billion yuan, and 50 new complete machine products will be achieved, including no less than 3 humanoid robot complete machine products that have reached the industrialization level.
