IT Home reported on August 26 that Tesla officially released the first driver assistance function for its Cybertruck model. According to reports from Cybertruck owners on social media, their electric pickup trucks gained the Tesla Vision Park Assist function after updating to version 2024.26.11.

IT Home noted that earlier last week, Tesla Autopilot Software Director Ashok Elluswamy said on the social media platform X that Cybertruck's first driver assistance feature will be launched over the weekend. The Tesla executive said that since Cybertruck is not easy to park, it will "start with parking assistance." He also pointed out that FSD is expected to be launched for Cybertruck in September.

Tesla did release the Vision Park Assist feature for the Cybertruck last weekend, and it was well received, with many saying the feature was long overdue for the model.

The Vision Park Assist feature can display a high-precision 3D model of the world around the vehicle, including the distance and shape of nearby objects, obstacles, vehicles, and road markings. Users can use Park Assist with or without sound feedback. Tesla also pointed out that the Park Assist feature is for guidance purposes only and cannot replace the driver. The driver needs to stay alert and avoid hitting obstacles.

It should be noted that Vision Park Assist is not Vision Autopark. This feature only provides drivers with a good field of view so that they can better observe the surrounding environment when parking Cybertruck into a parking space. This feature does not support automatic parking.
