Recently, the Jingzhou Port Jiangling Petrochemical Terminal, which was constructed by the Jingzhou Port Group Co., Ltd. and the China Communications Construction Second Navigation Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd., officially opened for operation. The first cargo ship fully loaded with 3,000 tons of industrial acetic acid officially started production operations. This batch of industrial acetic acid will be transported to the Yueyang Terminal in Hunan, completing the first order of hazardous chemicals delivery.
The Jingzhou Port Jiangling Petrochemical Storage Base Project is located at the "Golden Cross Hub" of the Yangtze River Golden Waterway and the Haoji Railway. It is one of the major transportation projects of the country's "14th Five-Year Plan". It consists of two projects, Jiangling Petrochemical Terminal and Storage Base, with a total investment of about 1.06 billion yuan. Jiangling Petrochemical Terminal is the largest public petrochemical terminal approved in the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River so far, and it is also the first public petrochemical terminal in the Jianghan Plain. It has a total of 5 3,000-ton liquid chemical and oil berths and 1 firefighting and tugboat berth, with a coastline of 718 meters and an annual designed throughput capacity of 3.55 million tons; the 300,000 cubic meter storage tanks and solid hazardous chemical warehouses supporting the rear storage base are being accelerated. After completion, they can meet the transportation, storage and trading needs of nearly 30 categories of chemical products such as acetic acid, refined oil, methanol, ethylene glycol, toluene, heavy oil, asphalt, etc.
It is reported that the Jingzhou Port Jiangling Petrochemical Terminal Project, as an important part of the Jingzhou Port Jiangling Petrochemical Storage Base Project, one of the 102 major transportation projects in the country's "14th Five-Year Plan", is seamlessly connected with the Jiangling Petrochemical Storage Base through the supporting construction of a 3-kilometer pipeline corridor, opening up the "road, rail and water" logistics and transportation network for the Jiangling Petrochemical Storage Base, realizing the interconnection of the Haoji Railway and the Yangtze River Golden Waterway, and promoting the organic integration of liquid chemicals going south and bulk petrochemical products going north in the Energy Golden Triangle region, realizing "raw materials directly to the factory and products directly loaded on board", greatly improving logistics efficiency while reducing the overall logistics costs.
