The summer is hot and the fruits are plentiful. Recently, the 2024 Weifang Primary and Secondary School Sports League Handball Competition officially kicked off. This is the first time that Yuhua School has been involved in "handball" since the "Weifang Sports School Handball Base" was established in Weifang Yuhua School. The boys' primary school group won the championship!
In the competition, the handball athletes of Yuhua School were full of energy, heroic, united, and fought bravely. They used sweat to show their youth and hard work to interpret their dreams. They won the first place in the boys' primary school group, the third place in the boys' junior high school group, and the third place in the girls' junior high school group. The school was awarded the "2024 Weifang City Primary and Secondary School Sports League Advanced Unit".
In April 2024, the "Weifang Sports School Handball Base" was established in Weifang Yuhua School, and the integration of sports and education opened a new chapter. The school listed handball as a key development project. Last semester, it welcomed two retired national-level handball athletes, formed three handball teams for primary and secondary schools, adhered to the dual paths of daily training and club training, and formulated short-term and long-term plans for the development of school handball. The impressive results of this competition are inseparable from the strong support and care of Weifang Sports School, the District Education and Sports Bureau and school leaders, and the professional guidance and hard work of the coaches and teachers.

Teacher Han Siyue
A first-class teacher, he started working in 1993 and has been teaching physical education in schools for 30 years. The teams he led participated in national, provincial, municipal and district competitions and achieved excellent results. In 2011, he served as the coach of the school men's handball team, organized and led the team to participate in the National Youth Handball and National Handball Base Cup competitions for many times; the school handball team he led won the second place in the National Middle School Student and Amateur Sports School Handball Championship and the National Handball Base Cup for seven consecutive years; as the coach of the school men's football team, he won the first place in the middle school men's football competition in Kuiwen District for three consecutive sessions; he was awarded the title of Outstanding Coach of the National Middle School Student and Amateur Sports School Handball Championship, Weifang City Moral Education Model, Weifang City Outstanding Physical Education Teacher, Kuiwen District Outstanding Physical Education Teacher, Kuiwen District Outstanding Coach, Kuiwen District Outstanding Referee, and won the first prize of Kuiwen District Education and Teaching Achievements. The papers he participated in writing have been published in national journals many times. More than 30 athletes he led won the second-level or above athletes through national and provincial competitions, and 2 were sent to the provincial team.

Teacher Cui Jian
He won the first place in the handball competition of the Shandong Provincial Games in 2010, the first place in the National Men's Handball Championship in 2014, the second place in the National Men's Handball Championship in 2015 and 2016, the second place in the handball competition of the National Games in 2017, and the third place in the handball competition of the National Games in 2021. In the 24th Provincial Games in 2018, he served as the goalkeeper coach of Weifang men's handball, and won the first place in Group B and the second place in Group A; in the 25th Provincial Games in 2022, he served as the goalkeeper coach of Weifang men's handball, and won the first place in Group B and the third place in Group A.
Teacher Jiang Weishan
An outstanding graduate of Weifang Yuhua School, she has represented Yuhua School in district and city sports games, and was selected into the Weifang Women's Handball Team in 2012 and into the Shandong Women's Handball Team in 2014.
