The third batch of renovation projects of old residential communities in Beijing involve 924 projects

Beijing Business Daily (Reporter Wang Yinhao Li Han) On August 23, the Beijing Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Commission issued the "Notice on Confirming the Third Batch of Central Enterprises' Comprehensive Renovation Projects for Old Residential Areas in Beijing". Compared with the first two batches, the third batch of projects covers a wider range, has a larger number of projects, and involves more central enterprise groups. This batch confirmed a total of 924 residential areas (projects), 10.72 million square meters, involving 3,007 buildings, and covering a total of 14 districts. Among them, the number of projects in the six urban districts accounted for more than 90%, with 79 in Dongcheng, 163 in Xicheng, 228 in Chaoyang, 205 in Haidian, 161 in Fengtai, and 20 in Shijingshan.

The renovation of this batch of projects will focus on earthquake-resistant reinforcement of houses, exterior wall insulation and renovation of exterior doors and windows, roof waterproofing and insulation renovation, corridor cleaning and painting, renovation of water, electricity, gas, heat, roads, communications and other infrastructure, fire protection, security, lighting, and garbage sorting facilities renovation, etc., with an effort to improve residents' living conditions and living standards.

In 2024, with the vigorous promotion of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and relevant central units and the active cooperation of Beijing, the comprehensive renovation of old residential areas owned by central enterprises in Beijing has made breakthrough progress. So far, three batches of lists of comprehensive renovation projects of old residential areas owned by central enterprises in Beijing have been released, totaling 1,452 residential areas (projects) and 21.2 million square meters.
