Original title: "Railway Passenger Station Design Specifications" have been partially revised. What changes does the new specification bring?
Recently, the National Railway Administration issued an industry standard announcement, partially revising the current "Railway Passenger Station Design Specifications" to further standardize the planning and construction of railway passenger stations, which will be implemented from the date of publication. Among them, the newly revised "Specifications" clearly define the requirements and standards for setting up male and female toilets in railway passenger stations, further improving the travel experience.
The newly revised "Railway Passenger Station Design Specifications" optimizes the requirements for the number of male and female toilets, and stipulates that the number of toilets (excluding standing positions) in the waiting area (hall, room) should be calculated at 2.5 per 100 people based on the maximum number of people gathered. The ratio of male and female toilets should be 1:2. The number of male toilets (excluding standing positions) should not be less than 3, and the number of female toilets should not be less than 4.
The newly revised "Specifications" also propose that the waiting areas (hallways and rooms) of extra-large and large railway passenger stations are large in area and passengers have to walk a long distance. Toilets should be arranged as close as possible to the crowded waiting areas to increase the proportion of toilets. At the same time, the newly revised "Specifications" are more detailed, clarifying that the exit halls of passenger stations have added toilet requirements, and the number of male toilets should not be less than 1, and the number of female toilets should not be less than 2.
The newly revised "Specifications" also clarified the construction principles and site selection requirements for railway passenger stations, detailed the value of station building area indicators, and further standardized the construction of railway passenger stations.
