The event was hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of Cambodia, and organized by the Cambodian Students' Association in China. 174 Chinese government scholarship recipients, including doctoral students, master's students and undergraduates, received blessings from all the participants. They will go to universities in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Tianjin and other places to study in the near future. At the event, Wang Wenbin and Han Chunnalo presented admission letters to representatives of Cambodian students studying in China.
Wang Wenbin urged Cambodian students studying in China to be the pillars of national development, the envoys of China-Cambodia friendship and the "bridge" for exchanges between the Chinese and Cambodian youth. He said that Cambodian students are the main force in promoting China-Cambodia friendship. He hoped that they could visit more places in China, make more Chinese friends and fully experience the real, three-dimensional and lovely China. At the same time, they could also show the long history and splendid culture of Cambodia to Chinese students and friends, enhance mutual understanding and become the inheritors and promoters of the traditional friendship between China and Cambodia.
Wang Wenbin said that the foundation of China-Cambodia friendship lies in the people and the future lies in the youth. China will continue to provide scholarships to Cambodia, support the holding of various activities, and provide more platforms and opportunities for exchanges between the youth of the two countries.
Han Chunnalo said to the students who are about to study in China: "You will become valuable talents for national development and a solid pillar for the friendship between Cambodia and China that will be passed down from generation to generation." He pointed out that studying in China will be the most valuable experience in the career of Cambodian students. In China, they can not only learn professional knowledge and skills, but also gain an in-depth understanding of the cultural heritage, scientific and technological progress, and social and economic development of the Chinese people in the new era, and learn from China's experience to promote Cambodia's construction and development.

When asked by a reporter from China Youth Daily and China Youth Network, "How does the Cambodian government intend to leverage the unique advantages of the group of international students returning to Cambodia to contribute greater strength to promoting the building of a high-quality, high-level and high-standard China-Cambodia community with a shared future in the new era", Han Chunnalo said that first, the Cambodian government insists on promoting the traditional friendship between the two countries. Although Cambodia pursues a neutral foreign policy, it still has special feelings for China-Cambodia relations, so international students should be people who promote China-Cambodia friendship after returning home; second, they can further help Cambodia attract more Chinese investment and help develop Cambodia's infrastructure; third, they can engage in Chinese education. Cambodia needs a large number of Chinese teachers. At the same time, they can also introduce China's experience and technology to Cambodia in agriculture, economy and other aspects; fourth, they can also start their own businesses in various forms to further consolidate the foundation of exchanges between the two countries.
Wu Tian, founder and chairman of the Cambodian Students' Association in China (ACSC), said in an interview with China Youth Daily and China Youth Network that this year is the eighth year that ACSC has been serving students studying in China. Currently, there are more than 1,200 Cambodian students studying in more than 100 universities in 26 provinces and cities in China. The majors they apply for are mainly concentrated in engineering, technology, finance and other fields, which directly serve the economic and social development of Cambodia. "I wish you all to achieve success in your studies, not only to pursue knowledge and broaden your horizons, but also to gain friendship, become a bridge of friendship between China and Cambodia, and actively devote yourself to the great cause of building the country."
Wu Tian introduced that in order to better promote the connection between the returned overseas students, the Cambodian Students Association in China established the Cambodia-China Youth Exchange Association (CCYA) at the end of last year. "This year, we will establish an 'Alumni Association' under the framework of the association to unite all the alumni who stayed in China, provide more opportunities and platforms for everyone, and help personal growth and national development."
