Beijing News (Reporter Wang Jingxi) Today is the official end of the dog days, but the heat is still strong. According to China Weather Network, under the combined influence of continental high pressure and subtropical high pressure, there will still be a lot of high temperature weather in my country in the next few days. Due to the high humidity, southern North China and the areas south of it are generally hot and stuffy.

The Central Meteorological Observatory predicts that in the next three days, there will be high temperature weather in the Sichuan Basin, Jianghan, central and southern Shaanxi, southern North China, Huanghuai, Jianghuai, northern and central and western Jiangnan, and the southern Xinjiang Basin, with the maximum daily temperature generally ranging from 35°C to 39°C.

The area from the Sichuan Basin to Hubei will be the core area of high temperatures in the next week. The high temperatures will not only last long but also be strong. For example, Chongqing will experience scorching temperatures above 40°C for the next seven days, and in many places the high temperatures will last for more than 8 hours a day, with the heat lasting day and night.

The day after tomorrow, with increasing rainfall in North China and the Huanghuai region and the influence of cold air, the stuffy feeling will ease. Around the 28th, high temperatures in Jianghuai, central and eastern Jiangnan and other places will decrease. The high temperature weather in the Sichuan Basin may not ease until early September.

A new round of precipitation in the north will start today. As the cold air penetrates southward, from today to the 27th, there will be a rainfall process from the Hetao region of Inner Mongolia to the Huanghuai region, with precipitation developing from west to east. Today, heavy rainfall is mainly concentrated in the central and northern Ningxia and the Hetao region of Inner Mongolia. The heavy rainfall area will move eastward and expand southward tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.

The meteorological department reminds that during this round of precipitation in the north, the rainfall intensity in northern Ningxia, the Hetao region of Inner Mongolia and other places is still variable and may be somewhat extreme. Under the influence of heavy rainfall, these places are prone to secondary disasters such as mountain torrents and mudslides. It is recommended that relevant departments and the public pay attention to forecasts in a timely manner and take precautions.
