IT Home reported on August 24 that Tencent Cube Studio learned that the overseas version of the PC game Arena Breakout: Infinite was unveiled at the 2024 Cologne Game Show on August 21. At the same time, the Cube Studio Group technical team and the Dark Zone Breakout project team launched the so-called "world's first" voice-commanded FPS AI FACUL.

According to the official introduction, this product is the world's first FPS AI teammate that "can understand human language" and uses generative AI technology, including voice input, large language model, real-time speech synthesis and environmental recognition. It supports players to directly input complex tactical instructions with voice, and can also use this to infer the player's intentions and use AI voice to provide real-time feedback.

Compared to previous FPS players who could only issue commands such as "follow", "defend" and "retreat" to AI teammates through shortcut keys and command wheels, players can directly command the tool through voice during the overall game process, or input a series of different commands at the same time. After completing these complex commands, the tool will also use voice to tell players more relevant information.

In addition, it uses real-time environmental perception technology, claiming to be able to achieve various actions "just like real teammates". The tool can recognize more than 10,000 in-game objects, including buildings, cars, collectibles, etc., and can distinguish different colors and materials; make interesting feedback on players' dialogues, perceive and identify real-time environmental weather, and perform a variety of actions.

For example, in response to commands such as "repeatedly stand up and squat to attract fire", "you go loot the bag", and "give me a gun", the tool can also flexibly choose to obey or refuse by analyzing the current situation.
