IT Home reported on August 24 that technology media The Verge published a blog post yesterday (August 23), reporting that Microsoft is planning a new round of brand reshaping, and the main brand "Microsoft Copilot" will be renamed "Microsoft 365 Copilot."

IT Home quoted the media as reporting that the change is mainly to promote the paid AI services under Microsoft 365, and the previous name "Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365" will also be changed to "Microsoft 365 Copilot".

Technology media The Verge joked in a blog post: "Microsoft is reshaping the Copilot brand in the most Microsoft way," and the marketing team is out again, so be prepared for some confusing Copilot changes.

The rebranding also extends to individual apps.Simplified names such as “Copilot in Word” will be changed to “Microsoft 365 Copilot in Word.”

Other specific Copilot services, such as Sales, Service, and Finance, will also adopt similarNames like “Microsoft 365 Copilot for Sales.”

Microsoft also launched a new brand for the chat module in its Microsoft 365 Copilot, called Business Chat.

The rebranding mainly affects Microsoft's artificial intelligence products. Mustafa Suleyman, CEO of Microsoft AI, said that the consumer-oriented Copilot tool will not change at this stage.
