A few days ago, a tourist posted a video complaining that when he was riding on a shuttle bus at the Baquanxia Scenic Area in Huguan County, Changzhi City, Shanxi Province, he was forced to buy corn and the bus would not leave until all the corn was sold.

According to the video circulating online, it is suspected that on a scenic spot bus, it is dark outside the window. A middle-aged man lowers his head to sell goods to tourists. A female voiceover shouts, "Can we leave?" Another male tourist asks the man if he needs to sell all the corn before the bus leaves. The man waves his hand and says, "Don't say that, I don't care about that." According to the information circulating online, the suspected filming location is located in the Baquanxia Scenic Area in Huguan County, Changzhi City, Shanxi Province.

On August 23, a reporter from the Huashang Daily News called the Baquanxia Scenic Area, but no one answered the call.

A staff member of the Culture and Tourism Bureau of Huguan County, Changzhi City responded that the bureau contacted the scenic spot, and the scenic spot learned through investigation that the incident occurred on August 22. The person selling the corn was a local villager. The villagers were selling their own corn on the bus, and the scenic spot’s vehicle requirement was to depart after being full. The bus was not full at the time, and it was not the case that the corn had to be sold out before it could depart as the tourists believed.

"Because he is a villager from a neighboring village, we have no way to punish him, but we can guarantee that he will never sell corn on the bus again." The staff member also said that after the bureau contacted the scenic spot, the scenic spot has quickly made rectifications and has now sent more patrol personnel to ensure that similar incidents will not happen again. The scenic spot also contacted the complaining tourist and explained the matter. The tourist was quite satisfied with the scenic spot's response.
