According to Jiaohuidian News, on August 23, Xin Changxing, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee, Xu Kunlin, Governor, and Zhang Yizhen, Chairman of the Provincial CPPCC, met with Jiangsu athletes participating in the 33rd Olympic Games in Nanjing. On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee, the Provincial Government, and the Provincial CPPCC, they welcomed everyone's triumphant return, congratulated everyone on their outstanding achievements, and expressed sincere condolences to the vast number of sports workers in the province.
At the 33rd Summer Olympics, 41 athletes from our province represented the country and won 4 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 7 bronze medals, achieving a historic breakthrough in the number of medals won by Jiangsu athletes in overseas Olympic Games.
