Beijing Business Daily (Reporter Lu Yang Cheng Liang) On August 23, a Beijing Business Daily reporter learned from the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission that Beijing will increase its support for equipment upgrades and consumer goods trade-ins, and the relevant implementation plan is expected to be officially issued and implemented in the near future.

It is reported that in terms of scrapping and updating of personal passenger cars, the subsidy standards in the "2024 Beijing Car Trade-in Subsidy Implementation Rules" will be adjusted. For scrapping old cars that meet the standards and purchasing new energy passenger cars, the subsidy will be increased from 10,000 yuan to 20,000 yuan. For scrapping old cars that meet the standards and purchasing fuel passenger cars with a displacement of 2.0 liters or less, the subsidy will be increased from 7,000 yuan to 15,000 yuan.

Consumers who have applied for subsidies in accordance with the "2024 Beijing Automobile Trade-in Subsidy Implementation Rules" will be given additional subsidies according to the new standards, and the above two types of old cars should be registered in the name of the applicant before July 25, 2024 (including that day). At the same time, support policies will be introduced to support the replacement and renewal of personal passenger cars with new energy vehicles.
