On August 23, Meituan CEO Wang Xing released an internal email titled "Company Organization Continues to Iterate", announcing new progress in the organizational structure adjustment. According to the email, Meituan's SaaS, cycling, power bank and other businesses were merged into "software and hardware services", which will be managed by Zhang Chuan; Kuaidi, Xiaoxiang, Youxuan and other businesses were merged into "grocery retail", which will be managed by Guo Wanhuai; the overseas business was officially renamed Keeta, which will be managed by Qiu Guangyu; the rest remained unchanged.

This organizational iteration is a continuation of Meituan’s business integration this year. Earlier this year, Meituan announced that it would adjust its organizational structure and integrate the original home delivery and store delivery business groups, basic research and development platforms, and Meituan platform, with Wang Puchong in charge. The above business was subsequently officially named the “core local business” sector.

In previous adjustments, Meituan’s SaaS, cycling, power bank, Kuailv, Xiaoxiang and other businesses were not formally integrated and named.

In an announcement at the beginning of the year, Wang Xing said, "I believe we can pool our strength and improve efficiency."

In this internal email, Wang Xing also expressed his expectations for organizational iteration, hoping to "further tap the team's potential under the new organizational structure, open up new growth space, strengthen core capability building, and create more value for customers."

Dear Colleagues,

After research and decision, the company further iterated its business portfolio and organizational structure:

1. SaaS, cycling, power bank and other businesses are merged into "software and hardware services", which will be managed by Zhang Chuan.

2. The businesses of Kuailew, Xiaoxiang, and Youxuan will be merged into "Grocery Retail", which will be managed by Guo Wanhuai.

3. "Overseas Business" was renamed Keeta and was managed by Qiu Guangyu.

All the above business managers report directly to me.

We hope that each business will uphold Meituan’s mission of “helping everyone eat better and live better” and further tap the team’s potential under the new organizational structure, open up new growth space, strengthen core capability building, and create more value for customers.
