This week, the "Jinchengzi" volunteer service platform in Chaowai Street, Chaoyang District, welcomed its 8,000th registered volunteer. Currently, registered volunteers account for 28.5% of the permanent population.
In Chaowai Street, the orange houses at the end of the streets and alleys are volunteer service stations with a history of more than ten years. Two years ago, the "Golden Orange" volunteer service platform was launched. It is like a volunteer service account book. Relying on digital means, it can realize one-click registration, scan code sign-in, point time accumulation, and real-time update of the "volunteer list".
In the first half of this year, the "Jinchengzi" platform collected micro-wishes from residents, and the wish of volunteer Song Jinyuan attracted everyone's attention. Song Jinyuan has been doing voluntary haircuts for the elderly and children in the community every week for many years, and she has also been present in many other volunteer service activities. However, the haircutting tools are old and not convenient to use, and her wish is to have a set of new and easy-to-use tools. Huaxia Bank Beijing Chaoyangmen Branch has also joined "Jinchengzi". After seeing Song Jinyuan's wish, the branch took the initiative to contact the platform and provided 4 sets of complete haircutting tools.
There are many more heartwarming little things like this on the "Jinchengzi" platform. Currently, the number of volunteers registered on the "Jinchengzi" platform has exceeded 8,000, accounting for nearly 30% of the permanent population in the area. Since the platform was launched, a total of 232 events have been held.
Since its launch, the "Jinchengzi" platform has actively linked local businesses and united many companies and businesses to participate through micro-wishes and volunteer service markets. The volunteer service projects of "Jinchengzi" are small but beautiful. Take the volunteer service market as an example. Nearly 100 events have been held in the past two years, with a total of more than 1,000 volunteers and businesses participating, serving more than 10,000 residents.
