According to the Supreme People's Procuratorate on August 22, the case of Wang Yong, former member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of the Tibet Autonomous Region Government, suspected of taking bribes, has been concluded by the National Supervisory Commission and transferred to the procuratorial organ for review and prosecution.

Recently, the Supreme People's Procuratorate made an arrest decision on Wang Yong for suspected bribery. The case is being further processed.

Wang Yong, male, Han nationality, was born in March 1971 in Luzhou, Sichuan.

Wang Yong graduated from Sichuan University in 1991. After graduation, he joined the Civil Aviation Administration of Southwest China, where he served as deputy director and director of the Planning Department, director of the Planning and Statistics Department, and director of the Policy and Regulations Department.

In December 2011, he was transferred to the position of director and party secretary of the Civil Aviation Guizhou Safety Supervision Bureau, and later served as chairman and party secretary of Guizhou Airport Group Co., Ltd.

In April 2019, he was transferred to the position of Director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Guizhou Province.

In April 2021, Wang Yong moved across provinces to serve as a member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of the People's Government of the Tibet Autonomous Region.

On January 29, 2024, the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission announced that Wang Yong, member of the Party Leadership Group and vice chairman of the Tibet Autonomous Region Government, was subject to disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission. He attended an important meeting a week before the investigation.

In July this year, Wang Yong was expelled from the Party and removed from office.

Upon investigation, it was found that Wang Yong had lost his ideals and beliefs.Deviating from the Party Central Committee’s requirements for young cadres, being disloyal and dishonest to the Party, deceiving the organization,Engage in political cronyism, seek personal gain, and make friends with political liars, resisting organizational censorship;

Violating the spirit of the Central Committee's eight regulations, accepting banquets that may affect the performance of official duties, and accepting gifts and cash gifts in violation of regulations;

Violating organizational principles, failing to truthfully explain problems to the organization, and failing to report personal matters in accordance with regulations;

Lost integrity and illegally owned shares of non-listed companies;

Illegal intervention and meddling in market economic activities;

He used public power as a tool to seek personal gain, engaged in power-for-money transactions, used his position to make profits for others in project contracting and material procurement, and illegally accepted huge amounts of property.

The notice mentioned that Wang Yong seriously violated the party's political discipline, organizational discipline, discipline on integrity, work discipline and discipline in life, constituted serious violations of duty and was suspected of bribery, and did not restrain or stop after the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. The nature of his violations is serious and the impact is bad, and he should be dealt with seriously.
