High-speed rail new city will add two new brand schools
The two brand schools that signed the contract this time are quite eye-catching.
The East Campus of Changsha Nanya Middle School is a branch of Nanya Middle School. It adopts a "one school, two sites" management model, which will further expand the educational influence of Nanya Middle School. The East Campus of Nanya Middle School is located in the core area of the high-speed rail new city, at the northeast corner of the intersection of Xiangzhang Road and Huahou Road. It covers an area of 79 acres, is planned to have 42 classes, and has a total investment of about 460 million yuan. It is planned to enroll students in the fall of 2026.
Changsha No. 1 Middle School Dongshan School is a nine-year public school and a source school for top innovative talents of No. 1 Middle School Education Group. The school is located in the core area of the high-speed rail new city, at the intersection of Pingyang South Road and Xiangzhang Road, Dongshan Street, Yuhua District, Changsha City, covering an area of 92 acres, with 72 classes planned and a total investment of about 330 million yuan. The primary school covers an area of 35 acres, and the junior high school covers an area of 57 acres. The junior high school has been completed, with 36 junior high school classes planned, providing 1,800 places, and the first grade will start in the fall of 2024.
New projects inject new vitality into the development of high-speed rail new cities
The three landmark projects are all located in the central area of the high-speed rail new city.
Among them, the Liuyang River Smart Valley project covers an area of 246 mu and has a total investment of 3.5 billion yuan. The project takes China Unicom Central South Research Institute as the "core" and plans to build three "areas" including communication service cluster area, future digital cluster area and cross-border trade cluster area, creating a national first-class digital economy growth pole, cross-border trade growth pole and free trade construction new landmark.
The signing and implementation of brand schools and landmark projects will inject new vitality and add new impetus to the high-quality development of the high-speed rail new city.
At the event, Tan Haoran, deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee and director of the Management Committee of the Changsha section of the Free Trade Zone, also introduced three high-end residential projects in the high-speed rail new city.

The High-speed Railway New City area is one of the ten major areas of Changsha's sub-center, and has unique development advantages. The area has a total planned area of 18.92 square kilometers, with a well-developed transportation network. Well-known supermarkets such as Wuyue Plaza, Sam's Club, and Yunda Plaza form a 15-minute economic life circle, with convenient living and complete supporting facilities. Since the beginning of this year, the transaction volume, average transaction price, and residential sales cycle of new commercial housing in the High-speed Railway New City area have all ranked first in the city.
Since the high-speed rail new city was handed over to the Changsha section of the Hunan Free Trade Pilot Zone for management in 2023, it has presented a new trend. Since the beginning of this year, 15 new projects with a total investment of 10.6 billion yuan have been introduced, making it an important open platform and industrial hotspot in Changsha.
"We should promote the early commissioning and effectiveness of the signed projects, speed up the construction progress under the premise of ensuring construction safety and project quality, and strive to build each project into a benchmark project in the industry and a demonstration project in Changsha."
