In order to enrich the summer life of minors in the jurisdiction and promote the all-round development of young people, Tangdong Village, Shajiabang Town, Changshu City recently organized a "Painted Ukulele, Happy Colorful Summer" handmade musical instrument DIY activity at the New Era Civilization Practice Station.
Before the event started, volunteer Peng Guoqing first introduced the "four classification" standards for garbage classification and the scientific knowledge that domestic waste can be recycled to the children in plain language, so that the children could deeply understand the importance of garbage classification for environmental protection.
At the event, Peng Guoqing explained the origin and meaning of the ukulele, and popularized the history of the ukulele to everyone. He then distributed materials for making the ukulele. After the explanation, the children began to make it by hand, polishing, assembling, and installing strings. With the help of volunteers, the ukulele gradually took shape.
When the main part of the ukulele was assembled, the activity entered the painting phase. The children gave full play to their imagination, carefully composed the picture, and painted it carefully. The colorful brushes jumped on the wooden surface of the ukulele, and the lively paintings appeared on the ukulele. When the unique and exquisite ukuleles were completed, the children plucked the strings and played the most beautiful notes, touching people's hearts and conveying happiness.
This activity not only improved the children's awareness of garbage classification, exercised their hands-on ability, and stimulated their interest and hobbies in art, but also allowed each parent-child pair to have a happy parent-child time and enhance their mutual feelings.
