The athletes, coaches and other delegation members took two open-top buses and departed from the Hong Kong Sports Institute in the morning, passing through the MTR Tai Wai Station, Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower, and then through the Cross-Harbour Tunnel to the Central Star Ferry Pier, and then arrived at the final destination, Tamar Park, where many citizens lined the streets to welcome them.
