China Youth Network News(Reporter Zhang Yayun Su Xiqiang) Recently, Great Wall Motors was listed on the supplier blacklist of China Southern Power Grid and will not be able to participate in the bidding projects of China Southern Power Grid for two years. China Youth Network found that as a listed company, Great Wall Motors has not yet issued a relevant announcement.
According to the Supplier Processing Announcement ([2024] 009) issued by China Southern Power Grid on August 14, Great Wall Motors was listed as a "non-tender" supplier from June 21, 2024, because "the supplier has committed major acts of dishonesty, which have had a bad impact". The processing period for Great Wall Motors to be listed as "non-tender" is 24 months, and the scope of the processing is "China Southern Power Grid".
According to the official website, Great Wall Motors is a global intelligent technology company whose business includes automobile and parts design, research and development, production, sales and service. It owns Haval, Weilai, Ora, Tank and Great Wall Pickup. Great Wall Motors was founded in 1984, listed on the Hong Kong H-share market in 2003, and listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2011.
The official website shows that China Southern Power Grid is an important state-owned backbone enterprise under the central government. It is responsible for investing, building and operating the southern regional power grid, participating in the investment, construction and operation of related cross-regional power transmission and networking projects, and providing power supply service guarantees for the five provinces and regions of Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou and Hainan, as well as Hong Kong and Macao. It has 5 branches, 13 wholly-owned subsidiaries, 9 holding subsidiaries, and a total of nearly 276,000 employees.
Public data shows that Great Wall Motors has participated in the bidding of China Southern Power Grid many times. The most recent one was in November 2022, when Great Wall Motors won the bid for the framework procurement of general vehicles (first batch) of China Southern Power Grid Electric Vehicle Service Company from 2022 to 2024. As early as 2019, China Southern Power Grid joined the "Eula Super Charging Alliance" of Great Wall Motor's brand Ora as one of the first members.

On August 20, China Youth Network called Great Wall Motors to verify the reasons why Great Wall Motors "committed major acts of dishonesty with adverse consequences", but failed.
According to China News Service, Great Wall Motors has received a penalty letter. It was listed as a "non-bid" supplier by China Southern Power Grid. As of press time, China Youth Network has not been able to find any public announcement information related to Great Wall Motors.
The official website shows that Great Wall Motors believes that "compliance is the cornerstone of the company's stable development" and "is guided by the advocacy of compliant business values."
