Rednet News, August 19 (Reporters Lu Jian, He Zhi, Jiang Jing) On August 17, the starting ceremony of the Leiyang-Shuangfeng stage of the 2024 China New Energy Vehicle Rally Championship was held at the Inventor Square in Leiyang City. The competition mileage of this stage reached 171.88 kilometers, with a total of 120 drivers and 60 new energy vehicles from all over the country participating.
The competition adopts the fixed speed rally and obstacle race system. The obstacle race is held at Leiyang Sports Center. Participating vehicles complete the field events in a closed venue in turn according to the specified obstacle areas set up by pile barrels/tires. The winner is the one with the shortest time.
The fixed-speed rally started from Leiyang City, passing through many city landmarks and scenic roads in Leiyang City, and checking in at the red landmark Peilanzhai in Leiyang City and the event partner Leiyang Rural Commercial Bank, and finally arrived at the finish line in Shuangfeng County, Loudi City. The winner of this fixed-speed rally is the vehicle with the smallest difference between the final arrival time and the stipulated time of the competition. This competition system not only ensures the safety of drivers when competing between cities, but also perfectly integrates the city scenery and cultural heritage into the competition, effectively promoting the deep integration of sports and tourism culture.
