The 144-hour transit visa exemption policy promotes the "convenient arrival" of foreign personnel, the regional entry visa exemption policy helps foreign tourists "come in a variety of ways", and the innovative port visa policy promotes the "introduction" of foreign businessmen.
Liu Haitao, deputy director of the National Immigration Administration, said: "More than 110 policies and measures have been introduced to facilitate foreigners to come to China. Recently, 'China Travel' has become popular on the Internet, and more foreign tourists have witnessed an open, confident, civilized and safe China. The scope of application of the recently popular 144-hour transit visa exemption policy has been expanded to 37 ports and 54 countries."
According to the press conference, the National Immigration Administration has successively launched policies such as 144-hour visa-free entry for foreign tourist groups from Hong Kong and Macao to Guangdong, 144-hour visa-free entry for tourist groups from ASEAN countries to Guilin, Guangxi, 30-day visa-free entry for people from 59 countries to Hainan, and 15-day visa-free entry for foreign tourist groups from coastal provinces by cruise ship. Recently, a 144-hour visa-free entry policy for foreign tourist groups from Hong Kong and Macao to Hainan was introduced, benefiting more than 5.9 million foreign tourists.
