On August 16, the Wuhan Yangtze River New Area Aviation Engine Precision Stamping Joint Innovation Center was officially established. The joint innovation center was jointly established by China Aviation Industry Chengdu Engine Co., Ltd., Wuhan Huaxia Precision Stamping Technology Co., Ltd., and Wuhan University of Technology. The strong alliance between Hubei and Sichuan will fully overcome the key technologies of aviation engine precision stamping through integrated cooperation in production, education, research, and application, and realize high-performance, high-precision, and large-scale production of key engine components.

It is one of the most complex and multidisciplinary engineering machinery systems in the world today, and has stringent requirements for basic materials, processing technology, assembly technology, basic testing, etc. In order to break the "neck", my country has included the independent development of aircraft engines into the national major special research tasks.

It is understood that the Joint Innovation Center will give full play to their respective advantages, be application-oriented, seek momentum from reform, and through tripartite resource sharing and system integration, develop new high-precision and high-performance processes around the advanced manufacturing of aero-engines and key components, develop new manufacturing equipment production lines, improve the manufacturing accuracy, performance and service life of aero-engines, and cultivate a group of high-level technical teams.

"The Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee clearly proposed supporting enterprises to take the lead in establishing innovation alliances and undertake major national technological research tasks."
