Overseas Network, August 18According to the British "Mirror" report on August 17 local time, 62-year-old Graeme Heward from Cheshire, England, was diagnosed with nasal and paranasal sinus cancer, which has a prevalence rate of "one in 100,000", and underwent 50 operations and two rounds of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Due to the huge tumor on his face, his right eye was fractured and his nose was compressed, so he eventually installed a 3D printed "right eye", "nose" and part of his "forehead".
The Oral and Maxillofacial Department at North Manchester General Hospital designed 3D artificial body parts for Graeme, which were fixed via magnets to his skull, allowing his face to be reshaped.
Graeme said that the team of doctors completely changed his life. They combined incredible art with technology to create a prosthesis that was most similar to his previous appearance. He now has seven magnets in his skull, which means that the 3D prosthesis is safer and more balanced, and he can even wear glasses. (Overseas Network Duan Ouyang)
