What can AI do? Write articles, make PPTs, and now correct essays? On August 17, the AI-led Digital Reading and Writing Innovation Forum and the Xiyue Intelligent Composition Platform Launch Conference, hosted by Southern Publishing and Media Co., Ltd. and organized by Guangdong Education Press, were successfully held at the Guangzhou Pazhou International Exhibition Center.

At the event, many experts and scholars in the fields of Chinese language education and teaching in primary and secondary schools and artificial intelligence education discussed topics such as how to use digital intelligence technology to promote the development of education and teaching.
Yang Jianguo, a Chinese language teaching researcher at the Teaching and Teaching Materials Research Office of the Guangdong Provincial Institute of Education, said that under the guidance of the new curriculum standards, Chinese language teaching is undergoing profound changes. Reading and writing, as the two major pillars of Chinese language teaching, are also undergoing continuous exploration and innovation in their teaching methods and approaches.
Huang Xingyun, teaching trainer at the Future Education Research Center of the School of Educational Information Technology at South China Normal University, mentioned that the application of artificial intelligence in the field of education is expanding rapidly, such as speech recognition, image processing and intelligent assistants, which are gradually changing traditional teaching methods and students' learning experience.
The event released the integrated publishing results of AI-led digital reading and writing - Xiyue Intelligent Composition Teaching Platform, which is an innovative application created by Guangdong Education Press for Chinese composition correction application scenarios.
The platform is aimed at primary and junior high schools. It deeply integrates AI and big data technologies to accurately meet the actual needs of basic education composition teaching. It aims to solve the pain points in composition teaching through intelligent means, improve teachers' teaching efficiency and personalized teaching ability, and at the same time stimulate students' interest in writing and help improve students' overall writing level.
