The first automotive-grade TSN switching network chip in my country listed in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's domestic automotive chip list, incubated by Dongtu Technology, a company in Zhongguancun Shijingshan Park, recently received an order for 100,000 chips from the National New Energy Vehicle Technology Innovation Center. It will be used on a large scale in vehicle gateways to enable a new generation of autonomous and controllable automotive network communication architecture.
At present, the self-sufficiency rate of automotive-grade automotive chips is less than 10%, and the domestically produced independent and controllable automotive chip industry needs to be accelerated! This automotive-grade TSN switching network chip developed by Dongtu Technology was successfully taped out in 2021, and passed the automotive-grade ISO 26262 functional certification, and the functional safety level reached ASIL-B; it passed the AEC-Q100 reliability certification and reached the Grade2 reliability level. After nearly three years of promotion, the chip has been verified by mainstream automobile manufacturers and has sufficient production capacity and stable supply capabilities. The entire chip technology and supply chain are mastered in China, gradually getting rid of dependence on overseas chips.
Dongtu Technology has been comprehensively developing intelligent connected vehicles since 2016. In addition to the first TSN network switch chip in my country, it has also incubated AUTBUS bus chips and SDR wireless baseband chips. The two-wire broadband bus standard AUTBUS chip based on TSN, IPv6, and OFDM technology can achieve high-bandwidth real-time interconnection between various communication nodes in the car, and the SDR wireless baseband chip can achieve the connection between the car and the roadside unit and the cloud platform.
According to Mouser Electronics, the market size of automotive Ethernet switch chips in China will reach 13.7 billion yuan in 2025, with a compound growth rate of 63.1% from 2021 to 2025. Dongtu Technology predicts that in the future, each car will use 150 to 200 chips incubated by Dongtu Technology.
In addition to providing a full set of solutions for intelligent connected vehicles, Dongtu Technology will also provide domestic network solutions for industrial embodied robots. Since its establishment, Dongtu Technology has led the formulation of 6 international and 36 national industrial network standards. It is currently working with relevant national units to promote the formulation of my country's new generation of automobile and robot network standards based on TSN network technology, providing independent and controllable network chips for my country's new energy vehicles, robots, and intelligent equipment industries.
