The direct flight from Ordos, China to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia was officially opened on the afternoon of August 17. Ordos Airport held a water gate ceremony to welcome the arrival of the flight.
On August 17, the Ordos-Ulaanbaatar route was opened
The route is operated by Hunnu Airlines' E190 aircraft, with 71 passengers on the first flight, with two flights every Wednesday and Saturday. The plane takes off from Ordos at 12:10 and from Ulaanbaatar at 9:30, with a flight time of about 1 hour and 40 minutes.
Aotegen Gerile, a Mongolian passenger on the flight, said that he had always been curious about and yearning for the Ordos culture. Now, taking this flight not only allows him to reach Inner Mongolia, but also makes it more convenient to travel to other cities in China.
The airport said that this is the first time that Ordos Airport has opened a round-trip route to Ulaanbaatar. The opening of this route has built a convenient and efficient air channel for economic and trade exchanges, cultural exchanges and personnel exchanges between the two places.
Ordos Airport also plans to open the Boao-Ordos-Ulaanbaatar route during the winter flight season.
