Mr. Bai, an owner of Xi'an Qujiang Jindi Jiuxi Community, was angry and felt it was absurd that he bought a villa worth more than 10 million yuan but had never lived in it for a day, and the property management company broke into his house and occupied it. "The property management company is supposed to provide service guarantees and security for the owners, and I never thought they would do such a thing."

Mr. Bai told The Paper that in 2018 he spent more than 14 million yuan to buy a 375-square-meter house in Gemdale Jiuxi, intending to use it as a wedding house. Due to various reasons, the house has not been renovated and has always been vacant, but Mr. Bai has to pay more than 17,000 yuan in vacant property fees every year. "One day in May this year, we went to a friend's house in the same community for a party, and then we said we would go to see our own house, but we found someone inside."

The video and photos provided by Mr. Bai showed that there were two men in the house at the time, one of whom was wearing property management work clothes, and the other man in plain clothes was sitting on a foam mat on the floor. In addition, there were some cardboard boxes, trash cans and cleaning tools piled up in the room. The woman who filmed the video was Mr. Bai's family member. She said angrily: "How can this be? My house was left to the property management, and I just occupied it." Faced with questioning, the two men did not respond.

The basement of this house is connected to the garage. Mr. Bai said that the property staff entered the house by prying open the basement door. A pipeline that was originally buried in the basement has been exposed. Mr. Bai speculated that this was caused by friction from the property staff dragging trash cans frequently. Before discovering that the house was occupied, Mr. Bai last came to check the house two or three years ago. He speculated that the house had been occupied by the property staff for a long time.

Mr. Bai said that after the incident, he called the police and complained to the citizen hotline. Under the mediation of the police and community workers, he negotiated with the property company many times and asked the other party to compensate him for two years of house rent. In early July, he reached a solution with a person in charge of the property company. The other party agreed to compensate him 100,000 yuan in cash and give him a parking space. On the same day, the other party transferred 50,000 yuan to his wife with the note "compensation". But afterwards, the rest of the compensation was not implemented. The WeChat chat records shown by Mr. Bai showed that the person in charge of the property company said that he would coordinate with the real estate company to handle the relevant procedures.

At noon on August 17, The Paper called the property manager to inquire about the matter. He did not respond directly, but only said that he would ask the company's brand staff to reply to the reporter. Afterwards, a brand staff member of the company said that he knew about the matter, but did not know the specific details. He promised to give a statement on the matter on the 17th. However, as of press time, The Paper has not received the statement.
