Lai Zhengyun is a famous oil painting artist who has devoted his life to the creation of oil painting art, and is particularly good at oil painting landscapes and oil painting portraits. Lai Zhengyun's oil painting creation adheres to the traditional realism path. His works are ingeniously conceived, colorful, and full of life, leaving a deep impression on the painting world.

His paintings are not only an ode to nature, but also a profound understanding of life and art. In just a few strokes, the brilliance of nature has been solidified on the painting, while also being realistic and delicate. The subject matter is taken from the scene in front of him, but is not limited to objective objects. The free interaction between heart and pen reaches a poetic realm.

Whether it is about the scenery or people, the painting style is always gentle and sincere, full of inner thoughts and sincere monologues on the essence of human life, reflecting the persistent pursuit of the ideal of pastoral life. In his landscape paintings, water flow, blooming flowers, blue sky and beautiful sun, stone bridges over small rivers, sunset views, spring village corners, fences and earthen walls, his brushwork is unrestrained and the colors are moving, showing the beauty of joy and freshness.

His works have been selected for large-scale military and national exhibitions for many times, and have been exhibited in joint exhibitions at home and abroad. Some of his works have won awards and have been collected by art museums, galleries and collectors at home and abroad. In 1989, Lai Zhengyun held a solo exhibition at the Guangzhou Art Museum.
