Chen Fei, Director of the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province, introduced that Shandong is a major province in opening up to the outside world. At the same time, the role of the free trade zone should be played well. The Shandong Free Trade Zone has three areas: Jinan, Qingdao and Yantai. At present, 140 tasks of deepening reform are being smoothly promoted, of which 183 innovative achievements have been integrated to accelerate the implementation in qualified areas across the province. In addition, the comprehensive reform of the SCO Demonstration Zone should be promoted, and the construction of the "four centers" should be focused on. The next step is to carry out reform exploration in key areas such as international channel construction, convenient personnel circulation, and duty-free goods, so as to build the SCO Demonstration Zone into an important open highland in the northern region.

Chen Fei said that the Qingdao Summit of Multinational Corporation Leaders is not only an important window for Shandong's opening up to the outside world, but also an important bridge and bond between China and multinational corporations. "We will continue to host major events such as the Qingdao Summit of Multinational Corporation Leaders, the Confucian Business Conference, Shandong Week in Hong Kong and Macao, and Shandong Week in Singapore, constantly improve our capabilities, expand our influence, and create a distinctive brand for Shandong's opening up to the outside world."
