In order to build the "Baoshan Youth Journey" brand for the ideological and moral construction of minors, give full play to the synergistic role of "home, school and community", and further enrich the forms and content of summer social practice for team members, the School Moral Education Department and the Brigade Department of Baoshan Baoyang Experimental School affiliated to East China Normal University in Baoshan District organized outstanding team members and parent volunteers to hold a series of "Baoyang Youth Red Journey" exploration and experience activities. Let us follow the steps of these "red explorers" and feel the weight and glory of history.
Searching for the Red Mark of Wusong Railway
What is the background of the construction of Wusong Railway?
After the Wusong Railway is completed, how many kilometers will it be?
How many stations are there in total?
How much is the ticket price?
......
The third-grade team members took many questions from the school-based study manual and followed the team counselor Yang Zijing to start the study tour of the Wusong Railway Site. After listening to the explanation of counselor Yang, the team members learned that the Wusong Railway was the first operating railway in China, and it witnessed the rise and fall of Shanghai.
The team members touched the train tracks with their own hands, feeling the vicissitudes of this section of track that spanned a century. A careful team member found that different materials were used to repair this section of track. After everyone's brainstorming and data investigation, they learned that this railway had experienced two Songhu battles. It was damaged by the bombing of the Japanese invaders and was later repaired many times before it could continue to be used.
The team members and parent volunteers were deeply shocked by this history, and felt even more deeply that China's current prosperity and development were hard-won and could not have been achieved without the efforts of countless people.
Explore red venues and listen to red stories
Led by the team counselor, Teacher Yang, the team members came to the Shanghai Songhu Anti-Japanese War Memorial Park and visited the Songhu Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall. Following the guide's introduction, the team members reviewed the history of the Songhu Anti-Japanese War and were deeply attracted by that magnificent history. Precious historical photos and cultural relics full of stories made the children seem to travel through time and space and return to that war-torn era.
This immersive learning method shocked and enlightened the team members. They learned to cherish the hard-won peaceful life today and strengthened their determination to study hard and serve the motherland. At the same time, the heroic deeds in the Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall also inspired the team members' patriotism and national spirit, and planted red seeds in their hearts.
After the visit, the team members wrote down their own feelings:
Team 3 (1): Shen Zerui
After visiting the Songhu Battle Memorial Hall, I deeply felt how precious and hard-won our peaceful life is. The fate of Shanghai is closely linked to the fate of the country. The blood shed on the land of Songhu paved the way for the great victory of China's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the new China that belongs to the Chinese people. As young pioneers, we must remember history, cherish peace, take over the responsibilities of our predecessors, and forge ahead into the future!
Team 3 (2): Liang Zhimeng
Today we visited the Shanghai Songhu Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall and learned that although the Chinese soldiers were beaten and bruised, they still braved the hail of bullets and fought against the Japanese army at all costs. We should learn from the Chinese soldiers' spirit of marching forward bravely and not fearing difficulties. When we grow up, we must also fight against the enemy and serve the motherland! A strong youth means a strong country!
Three (3) Squadron: Zhang Yang
Visiting the Songhu Battle Memorial Hall, I kept thinking of the stories of China being oppressed by external forces in history, and the pictures of heroes in modern times fighting to save the country. Chairman Mao Zedong once said that those who fall behind will be beaten. We Young Pioneers must study hard, master skills, and serve the motherland when we grow up.
Enjoy the beauty of intangible cultural heritage printmaking experience
Recently, the Moral Education Department organized first and second grade student representatives to come to the Yanghang Community Cultural Activity Center to carry out an intangible cultural heritage printmaking activity with the theme of "Enjoying the beauty of intangible cultural heritage printmaking and experiencing rubbing". At the event, the teacher used easy-to-understand language to explain the artistic characteristics, historical origins, production techniques and other related knowledge of Yanghang blow molding prints. The children listened with great interest and the interaction was enthusiastic.
Teachers and students visited the Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall together. As soon as they entered the hall, the children were deeply attracted by the dazzling array of Yanghang blown paper prints in front of them. The exhibited works, with their unique artistic style and exquisite craftsmanship, vividly displayed the culture and history of the Yanghang area.
Finally, under the guidance of teachers from the community activity center, the children experienced the production of blow molding prints, coloring, printing steps, etc. Through this activity, the children further understood the unique charm of Yanghang's local intangible cultural heritage and enhanced their interest in learning Chinese traditional culture.
This series of exploration and experience activities of "Baoyang Youth Red Road" has planted red seeds in the hearts of Baoyang students, and the red gene will become the source of motivation for their study and life. The children of Baoyang Experimental School will draw strength from the red spirit, be determined to study hard, and strive to become new people of the times!
