In order to pass the first step of conscription, on August 7, the Baiyun District People's Armed Forces Department organized the conscription physical examination for the second half of 2024. Through strict screening in multiple subjects, it ensured that the physical conditions of the young applicants met the enlistment standards and contributed to national defense construction.
The physical examination was conducted at the Physical Examination Department of Baiyun District Hospital by an experienced medical team. At the conscription physical examination site, young people of appropriate age from various townships (towns, streets) in Baiyun District lined up in an orderly manner to undergo strict screening of various physical indicators. The physical examination items included height, weight, vision, hearing, blood pressure, electrocardiogram, blood routine, urine routine and many other items to ensure that the health status of each young person was comprehensively and accurately assessed.
The Baiyun District People's Armed Forces Department attaches great importance to the quality of physical examinations and has formulated strict work processes and standards based on the "Physical Examination Standards for Recruiting Citizens" to ensure that physical examinations are fair and just. At the same time, the physical examination results are strictly checked by professional doctors to ensure that outstanding young people with excellent physical fitness are selected to join the army.
Tang Shiyong, director of the Baiyun District People's Armed Forces Department, personally went to the site for inspection and guidance, had cordial exchanges with the young applicants, and encouraged them to cherish the opportunity, practice their ideals with actions, and support the construction and development of national defense with practical actions. Tang Shiyong said that conscription is the source and foundation of national defense and military construction, and that the conscription physical examination must be strictly controlled to ensure that excellent soldiers are sent to the troops.
The conscription physical examination received a positive response from the majority of young people. They said that it is the responsibility and obligation of every young person to join the army and serve the country, and they are willing to integrate their personal ideals into the overall national development and contribute their own strength to the national defense cause. Xu Shuyang, a young applicant from Quanhu Street, said: "Joining the army has always been my dream.
