【Rainfall】
Q1: Many places entered "rainy mode" over the weekend. How heavy will the rain be?
【Nationwide】
North China, Huanghuai and other areas will usher in a new round of large-scale rainfall
This weekend (August 17-18), many parts of my country will be in a rainy mode. Strong rainfall will hit North China, Huanghuai, Northeast China and other places, with moderate to heavy rain in most areas and heavy rain or torrential rain in some areas. At the same time, there will still be scattered heavy rainfall in the south of the Yangtze River and South China, and the afternoon to the first half of the night will be the period of active convection. Rainwater will come, and high temperatures will retreat to places along the Yangtze River, but the stuffy feeling will still exist in southern North China and southern China.
According to the Central Meteorological Observatory, from the 17th to the 19th, North China, Huanghuai, Northeast China and other regions are expected to usher in a new round of large-scale rainfall process, with most of the above-mentioned regions experiencing moderate to heavy rain, and local rainstorms or torrential rain. Meteorological experts pointed out that this rainfall process has a wide impact range and lasts for a long time. The accumulated rainfall in eastern North China, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia and other places is large, and it is necessary to prepare for secondary disasters caused by heavy rain, and strengthen prevention of the adverse effects of local severe convective weather on public travel.
