On August 16, the 2024 First Guangzhou Property Management Industry Association Vocational Skills Competition was successfully held at Guangzhou Light Industry Vocational School. The competition was guided by the Guangzhou Vocational Capacity Building Guidance Center, and co-organized by the Guangzhou Property Management Industry Association and the Guangzhou Property Management Industry Federation of Trade Unions. It included two categories: property manager and customer service administrator. After the preliminary selection, a total of 108 contestants participated in the skills competition on that day.
After the preliminary, semi-final and final rounds, six first, second and third prizes will be awarded for each type of work/level for property managers level 3, level 4 and customer service managers level 3. The top half of the contestants who enter the final will receive the winner award from the competition organizing committee, and after review, publicity and approval, the event organizer, Guangzhou Property Management Industry Association, will issue the corresponding type of work/level professional skill level certificate.
"This competition is benchmarked against the national occupational standards for property managers (2023 edition) and customer service managers (2019 edition), and adds content related to the industry's latest technological achievements, new knowledge, and new technologies to achieve the 'combination of competition and certificates.' Through the competition, contestants can not only obtain relevant honors, but those with qualified results can also obtain the property manager level 3, level 4 and customer service manager level 3 professional skill level certificates, so as to promote training and learning through competition." said Li Yongxin, president of the Guangzhou Property Management Industry Association.
Under the guidance of the Guangzhou Vocational Capacity Construction Guidance Center, the contestants who meet the standards of this competition will receive the corresponding vocational skill level certificates, which will facilitate the career planning and development of the contestants. Mr. Chen, a contestant from Gemdale Property, said: "I have been engaged in property management in Guangzhou for more than three years, but I didn't know about the relevant examinations for the vocational skill registration certificate before. The Property Association organized the competition and provided us with some corresponding training, which facilitated us to obtain the relevant vocational certificates for property managers and customer service managers, which can make my career planning clearer." As a contestant in the customer service manager project, Mr. Chen works in a community in Zengcheng. He was not satisfied with his performance in the first competition. He will continue to strengthen the study of relevant subjects in the future and strive to obtain the corresponding vocational skill level certificate as soon as possible.
Zhong Qinghua, director of the Law Enforcement and Supervision Department of the Guangzhou Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau, pointed out that the Guangzhou Property Management Association has positioned itself as the vanguard and locomotive of industry development. In accordance with the requirements of relevant national, provincial and municipal documents, it has actively participated in the social review organization's certification filing and application, question bank development and job skill level certification, and obtained the professional skill level certification qualification for property managers and customer service managers. It has innovatively used competitions as a way for practitioners to obtain professional skill level certificates, thereby increasing the influence and attractiveness of the industry's professional skill competitions and professional skill level certification work.
After the computer-based exams conducted in advance and the knowledge quiz and keynote speeches conducted on site, a total of 18 award-winning contestants and 35 outstanding contestants were selected in various subjects of the Guangzhou Property Management Industry Vocational Skills Competition.
