Ruan Hong, chairman of the "bank-affiliated" public fund Bocom Schroder Fund Management Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Bocom Schroder Fund"), has reached retirement age, and Zhang Hongliang, the former chairman of Bocom Wealth Management, may become the next chairman.
On August 16, Bocom Schroder Fund issued an announcement stating that as of August 15, the company's chairman Ruan Hong will retire due to age. Before the company's new chairman (legal representative) takes office, the company's general manager Xie Wei will perform the duties of the company's chairman (legal representative).
According to official website information, Bocom Schroder Fund was established in August 2005 and is one of the first bank-affiliated fund companies. Its major shareholders are Bank of Communications, Schroder Investment Management of the United Kingdom, and China International Marine Containers Group, with shareholding ratios of 65%, 30%, and 5%, respectively.
Ruan Hong has served as deputy general manager and general manager of Bank of Communications' Overseas Institutions Management Department, deputy president of Bank of Communications' Shanghai Branch, general manager of Bank of Communications' Asset Custody Department, and general manager of Bank of Communications' Investment Management Department. He has served as general manager of Bank of Communications Schroder Fund since April 2015 and was promoted to chairman in July 2018, a position he has held for more than 6 years.
A reporter from The Paper learned that Zhang Hongliang, the former chairman of BoComm Wealth Management, may become the next chairman in the future. He is still awaiting approval of relevant procedures and may be officially announced to take office in September.
Public information shows that Zhang Hongliang was born in November 1966, is 57 years old, has a master's degree, is a senior economist, and has served as the party secretary of Bocom Wealth Management Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Bocom Wealth Management") since April 2022, and has served as the chairman and director of Bocom Wealth Management since September 2022. On August 6, 2024, Bocom Wealth Management announced that Zhang Hongliang resigned from the positions of chairman, director, chairman of the board's development strategy committee, and chairman of the board's risk management committee due to job changes.
In addition, Zhang Hongliang has served as Party Secretary, Chairman and President of Bocom Life Insurance Co., Ltd., during which time he also served as Chairman of Bocom Kanglian Asset Management Co., Ltd.; Party Secretary, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of China Pacific Life Insurance Company Shanghai Branch.
