Wang Yi said that before attending the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Foreign Ministers' Meeting, I was invited to visit Myanmar and met with Myanmar leader Min Aung Hlaing and former Chairman of the State Peace and Development Council Than Shwe, and held talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Than Shwe, which showed that China firmly promotes the "Paukphaw" friendship between China and Myanmar, adheres to the principle of non-interference in internal affairs, and pursues a friendly policy towards Myanmar for all the people of Myanmar. As a responsible major country and a permanent member of the UN Security Council, China has always been committed to maintaining peace and stability in the region. We support Myanmar in safeguarding its independence, sovereignty, national unity and territorial integrity, support Myanmar in its efforts to maintain domestic peace and stability, develop the economy and improve people's livelihood, and support Myanmar in achieving domestic political reconciliation within the framework of the Myanmar Constitution in accordance with the new "Five-Point Roadmap" and restarting the democratic transition process through general elections. China opposes acts of inciting civil unrest and civil war in Myanmar, opposes deliberate interference in Myanmar's internal affairs by foreign forces, and opposes any words and deeds that alienate China-Myanmar relations and smear and slander China.

China and Myanmar agreed to further consolidate political mutual trust, deepen practical cooperation in various fields, effectively safeguard the security and stability of Chinese personnel and projects in Myanmar and the China-Myanmar border area, intensify joint efforts to combat transnational crime, and promote the in-depth and practical construction of a China-Myanmar community with a shared future. China is willing to work with all parties to issue a common voice in support of Myanmar's cessation of war and maintenance of stability, protection of people's safety, and opposition to external interference. Myanmar is indispensable to the ASEAN family. China supports ASEAN in maintaining its own unity, supports the implementation of ASEAN's "Five-Point Consensus" on Myanmar, supports ASEAN as the main channel for mediation, and promotes a "soft landing" of the Myanmar issue in the "ASEAN way".
