Janet JonesJanette Jones is an American painter who was born in California. She majored in art at California State University and studied watercolor painting for five years with Virginia Jentoft in Davis, California.
Between 1988 and 2002, her watercolors were successfully sold and licensed through companies such as Daisy Kingdom, Naturally, Spring Mills and Prints Plus. After attending a workshop in 2003, she began painting outdoors in oils and became fascinated by the challenge of capturing the real thing on canvas. "If I'm not in the studio, I'm in my garden," she says.
The most common comments about Janet Jones's paintings are that "they make me feel happy", "they lift my spirits" and "they are full of light and lightness".
As an artist who constantly seeks the beauty of light in all kinds of subjects, she feels this deeply. As someone who is optimistic about life and full of hope for the future, she is happy that her paintings reflect this "joie de vivre" attitude and bring joy to her collectors.
Janet uses her strong sense of design, personal color palette, and intimate perspective to create her own unique style.
